
Mariko Hara
Prizewinner of the Toshiya-Eto Violin Competition, International Brahms Competition, and finalist of the 14th Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition, Mariko Hara has performed as soloist with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and given recitals in Tokyo, Geneva, Verona and Washington. As a chamber musician, she has performed with Nobuko Imai, Philippe Graffin, and the Tokyo Quartet.
Mariko was a member of the Jupiter Quartet Japan from 2004-2010, with whom she toured successfully across Japan, USA and Switzerland. The quartet was filmed for 3 years for a documentary broadcast by BS Asahi in 2011 and 2012. Mariko has been awarded the “Prix Albert Lullin” of the Geneva Conservatory and has made appearances at the Verbier, Norfolk, Yellow Barn, Kuhmo and Lucerne festivals.
