When we listen to music, it can often be very easy to paint a scene in our imagination.  We created this session so children from preschools ages 4-6 could have the opportunity to exercise their sense of imagination within Mozart’s music and to express this through creative writing.  A total of over 160 children, teachers and parents went along on an imaginary ride up a Ferris Wheel with us and created storylines based on what they could see looking out into the distance from the top !

We closed the session with the children crafting their own unique Ferris Wheel carts that were later displayed with the help of our friendly professional musicians-in-training from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and our fun animateur Sharon Sum.

In Oct 2019, we found ourselves completely oversubscribed for this pair of interactive Concerts for Children by TTK Homegrown Series, at Esplanade Recital Studio on 1 Nov 2019.  Together with our animateur Sharon Sum, 2 pairs of student duos from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music brought to live musical excerpts from Mozart’s Sonatas for piano and violin created during his childhood years.  Drawing parallels to characteristics of iconic animals the children are all too familiar with, the live music alongside movement and drawing activities allowed for a rather active and boisterous morning !
