In the second bite-size walk through Mozart’s early childhood works this evening, we heard another 3 pairs of piano-violin student duos from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music as well as 8 wind students from the Conservatory offer up Mozart’s Serenade in E-flat major for 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons & 2 horns ~ a work composed shortly after Mozart’s decisive and defiant move to Vienna from Salzburg.  This evening concludes a full TTK Homegrown Series experience for the 22 students from YST Conservatory of Music ~ from receiving private coachings to public masterclasses, from presenting interactive Concerts for Children to formal Evening Concerts.

Mozart 36 follows Mozart’s journey as a young composer from age 8 with the first of his Sonatas for piano and violin to the last in 1788, when he was living at the centre of the Viennese musical world as the city’s finest keyboard player and a hugely successful composer.  Anchored by veteran TTK Homegrown Series artists Shuxiang Yang and Cherie Khor, this evening’s 2 bite-size walks through Mozart’s early childhood Sonatas kicked off with 4 pairs of piano-violin student duos from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music:
